Hey, all.

Love my DVD-RB Pro, been using it for a year or so now. I've finally got a fast enough machine to use it in batch mode overnight (my 24" iMac running Vista), so I pre-load and tweak previews on a couple of rips, save each as a project, and load them up into Batch mode. However, as soon as I start the batch process, all of my settings switch to defaults. For example, "Shut off at batch completion" unchecks itself, any removals of extraneous extras (like previews) that I've made in the Preview window go away, tweaks to compression levels on different sections of the movie/extras... Basically all changes go away, even though I had them saved in the project file.

Is this normal, or is my INI screwed up royally? I'm using the latest build, 1.28.2, and have had no other issues (on single projects).

Thanks,
Dan

Hello, Dan.

The first thing that comes to my mind is that you don't have the option "Skip PREPARE Phase in Batch" selected in File-menu before saving the project files.

Double-check your settings for each project and make sure you have the following set, its always worked for me unless I forget to set one ofthem when I have been doing something else

One Click Mode
BackUp Mode (full backup)
Output to ISO image file
Enable 'output' directory

The last one appears to be very important as this is where your actual completed ISO images will be stored, so make sure it has plenty of space

The backup mode is also very important when doing episode disks otherwise you end up with the main title and nothing else

It might sound silly, be also make sure you load each batch project via the 'batch' tab and start the batch process from here and nowhere else, otherwise you will just get the current DVD converted and nothing else. I've done this myself and wondered why the batch wasn't completed

From what I have looked at the project file you save is basically the INI file from DVD-RB, so it can very easily be edited with any text editor

It appears that DVD-RB loads this INI/Project back into DVD-RB and this is what changes the individual settings for each DVD in the project, so each and every project can have very different settings including filters, matrix changes, etc, etc

Also, if using filters make sure that these have the correct path or you will get failures and some weird encoder messages, I keep forgetting this when checking or testing filters and forgetting some filter locations may have been different to what they are now
