Good 10-Year Old Anime Settings?

Hi, I am somewhat of a n00b when it comes to the latest and greatest settings out there for about a 10-year old anime. I am trying to encode some episodes of One Piece. I know this is a big favor to ask, but could someone please help me out and give me some good settings to use?

I can see that the main problems are dot crawl, rainbowing, edge problems, and some noise (not too terribly bad on the noise level though). This anime also seems to be somewhat tricky to properly IVTC. The intro isn't hard to do, but the actual episode contains the ocassional interlaced frame with the settings that I use (somewhat older settings). More on that later--for now I'd just like to get some good settings for making it look better (dot crawl, edge enhancement, and some good noise reduction at least). I would greatly appreciate any help!

P.S. Please post what filters/packages you use because I get easily confused with this aspect of avisynth.

He's exaggerating a little, the anime will have been running for 9 years next month. Now back to your regularly scheduled encoding help...

Dotcrawl == Checkmate()

Edge Enhancement == Toon, EdgeCleaner, and many others

Noise reduction == tnlmeans, dfttest, fft3d(gpu/filter), MC_Spuds(),Fluxsmooth, RemoveGrain, MVDegrain(1,2,3), and loads more.

You can get a few ideas in this (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=137893) thread (dealing with old anime) and maybe give a try to animeivtc(). Of course, all the suggestions by Merlin7777 should be on your "to try" list.

edit: Can you upload a short sample (less than 30MB) of a tricky sequence of the episode? It is most likely double hard telecine (solved by mode=2 of animeivtc), but I'd need the sample to confirm.
Also, I find TComb very useful when removing dotcrawl and rainbowing.
