I'm going to buy the new G45 motherboard and would also like to change my E6600 with a more power saving one.
Which one of the new Intel CPU is recommended?
Have heard someone mention the E7200 as the most power saving one. It should run as low as 20 W with load on and also perform well.
Is that my best choice when looking at powersaving and performance to my G45 motherboard?

When the cpu is throttled/clocked down is when the power savings will come in, if it's doing allot of encoding work then yoru not going to notice much difference when it comes to yoru electricity bill... assuming that's why you want to save power....
Look at this page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Intel_Core_2_microprocessors) the specs for just about all Core 2 processors are listed there.
I'll be buying a new CPU when my pay comes around next week and i fully intend on buying the Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550, none of this power saving crap gimme more power!
