First time I've seen this, but HCEnc is getting stuck in the redistribution phase. It literately just stops and I have to force quit it. Could it be a bad rip? How can I check? Many thanks.

Oddly enough, if I leave it around 5 mins, it continues at a very slow rate of around 9fps. Heres the log up to the point it slows down:

Well, its not my machine. I've tested it on a second, old P4 machine and its done the same thing. It was a clean rip with DVD Decrypter. I've also tried running it through DVDFab and FixVTS and its doing the same thing so I'm at a loss now with it. I think I might try CCE next. Is it possible that its just something HC doesn't like?

Try stepping back to HC v0.22 and see if it corrects it.

Will do, but tried CCE and that locked up to. I'm also trying a full encode and skipping the redistribution phase to see what happens.

What version of AVISYNTH are you using?

2.5.6.0 now as I've reinstalled DVD-RB. It appears to be VTS6 that has the problem (thats also what DVD-RB has flagged as the main movie even though its an episodic disc) as on a full encode, thats where the process dies. Maybe the rip is just bad?

Edit: Is looking like a bad rip. Ran it through CloneDVD and I got a warning at the end saying corrupted video data found!
