Really? I never got anything but H263 and MPEG. But maybe it just didn't recognize the CQMs.

It was not - and still isn't 100% - obvious to me what you meant, but as you can see, it shows which CQM is used. (under "Custom intra matrix" and "Custom inter matrix")
If you mean that it recognizes the matrix like "oh wait, this is the custom quantization matrix for high bitrate purposes by sharktooth posted at doom9", you are right. I don't know any program that does that.

Yes, I was talking about something like that, although with shorter names like "EQM v3UHR". I'm just not very good at remembering sets of 128 numbers. :(

You could get LigH’s matrix editor (http://forum.gleitz.info/showthread.php?t=11875), load the likely matrices and compare to the numbers from Avinaptic. With a little practice you’ll learn to recognise the most common ones anyway.

There’s no automated solution as far as I know.

you cant simply keep track of all matrices... and their names...
it's not worth the time to make an app to do just read the coeffs and display the matrix name. also i dont think it will be usefull for anyone, except you, maybe.

I have .gif's of the cqm's I use the most in the folder where they live so I can do a quick check against the others, and the numbers do start to stick after a while ...but only for a few of the 100's of cqm's I have collected so far :(

I suppose it will become available soon.

Most of, and just about all of the worthwhile ones come from Sharktooth's site ...and thanks for that Sharktooth.

Also the use of google works very well.
