View Full Version : Barebones MPC?

I wonder if there's such thing as a Media Player Classic that doesn't come with internal filters.

Lately I've been trying to disable these annoying "low merit" babies and I'm starting to lose my cool, they just won't go away

Ideally I'd want exactly this, an alternative barebones MPC that does everything regular MPC minus the filters, but any other workaround or media player suggestion is more than welcome :)

Thanks in advance.

Have you tried unchecking them on the options page? Or it doesn't work?

Or maybe I misunderstood you - are they still enabled anyway?

Yep, I disabled them, but they continue to be forced.

If unchecked they're still used as a fallback when MPC doesn't find another decoder to use. Perhaps whatever decoder your trying to use isn't properly registered.

It would be PureVideo's DTS, which should be properly registered since it works with other players.

try adding it to the external filters page and setting it to prefer

My thoughts exactly and additionaly you may try blocking the low merit filter.
