Having just received our new PC with a BD burner, my brother and I went to Fry's Electronics last Friday to get in on the 2x Panasonic BD25 BD-R for $35 deal. Unfortunately, it was left in the trunk in hot Georgia weather until Monday. In order to tell if they are still good or not, I need an excuse to use them without totally wasting them. Any suggestions?

Should I backup my mis-framed Pirates of the Carribbean CotBP before exchanging it for the proper/fixed one so that I can compare it? Can I "fix" the "defaults to 1080i" Terminator 3? Is there some free HD content somewhere that is worth burning an $11.60 disc? I don't have a way to rip my HD-DVD movies to PC, though that is appealing.

Buy and Xbox-360 HD Drive for $30 bucks and you can rip your HD-DVD's then with various software.

@CZroe

Hi!

If you haven't opened the packaging, just return it in exchange for a new replacement...
