The problem is this, i am upgrading from creative live, and now i used to be able to capture tv programs, and mutting the line in playback volume without mutting the record volume as well, like this i was able to do other stuff in the computer at the same time.

The problem is that now with sound blaster audigy value, to capture sound it uses "analog mix" and the record volume from line-in is now the playback volume so i can't mute playback from line in anymore while capturing and this is very annoying, and i was forced in using the microphone source to capture tv audio... Is it completly impossible to mute ONLY playback line in in audigy and not line in record valume at the same time ?

Sound's like a strange one, when i had a audigy 2 zs card the mixer worked just like any other sound card i've used with windows over the last 10 years, all had individual control's.

You have not gone into much detail about what OS you are running and such, the Vista Mixer is different to the XP mixer, does your capture card not have audio input on it?

I am using windows xp professional... and when i had the creative live card, everything was normal, but now i can only get line-in sound choosing the analog mix sound source, and the recording sound for the line in is set in the PLAYBACK line-in volume control! But for what i have seen in google unfortunately this is normal, probably there's nothing i can do about it, i have to record from microphone then...
