What is the quickest way to do VC-1 on PS3? I've got my copy of The Ruins that I want to back up, and it's VC-1 Video file.

I've converted to H.264 - Even at over 9Mbps, not impressed when streaming to PS3.
I've heard that you can run it on PS3, but with only Stereo.

Some advice here would be great. Am I stuck with converting using x264?

I want to preserve the highest quality possible. In fact, I'm looking for the quickest way to make it look like the original. So far, my efforts have been in vain.

Thanks.

What settings did you use to convert to h.264?? And what do you use to stream? Is it transcoding when streaming? Does the quality look bad on your computer too? I'm surprised because so far I've gotten amazing results from the full movie encodes I've done recently.

Thanks for the response. I've been wanting to stream (and have with others) just with the Microsoft Media sharing. TVersity is always available, or not available, or available. I find it more consistent with the MS.

I used the Ryu77 (I guess he's well-known) settings within MeGui. It looked ok on my TV, but not near close to the original. It ran about 9900 Kbps.

So, quick answers.
No, not transcoding.
Windows Media Library to stream
Quality on Computer (which is not 1080p) looks great
Quality on TV (1080p) looks grainy

I've got a lot of other files I've converted that were based on AVC, and they look absolutely original. It's these VC-1 video files giving me hiccups. ;-)

Have a look at this and after the last step make BD with TSMuxer:
