Upgrade DGMPGDec/DGIndex for AutoGK?

I'm using AutoGK 2.48b with a DVD source that is causing DGIndex to complain with the following error:

Cannot find audio or video data. Ensure that your PIDs are set correctly in the Stream menu. Refer to the Users Manual for details.

I note from the stream information produced by DVD Decrypter that video is at 0xE0 and audio is at 0x80 (both normal). When I use Set PIDs in DGIndex, the Video PID is set to "1a88" and the others are set to "2". If I set the Video PID to "E0" and the Audio PID to "80", it will think for a second and then report the same error.

Interestingly, when I open the video source with the DGIndex from DGMPGDEc 1.5.1, it reports the same error initially but when I set the Video PID and Audio PID settings correctly, it recognizes them and appears ready to go.

This gave me the idea that I should upgrade the version of DGMPGDec that is included with AutoGK. I backed up the original directory and then copied the new files into the DGMPGDec subdirectory (under AutoGK). When I did this AutoGK loaded the new version of DGIndex and I was able to fix the PIDs and and it actually went ahead and processed the file.

After DGIndex finished, it seemed to go through the next VirtualDubMod step just fine before failing with a message about audio not being found. The log follows:

I thought this might just be a problem with this particular title, but I found that this was a general problem caused by the new version of DGIndex. Going back to the old version clears up the problem for all other titles.

So, finally on to the question question that formed my subject: Is it possible to upgrade the version of DGIndex for AutoGK? Or can someone think of another workaround?

A DVD VOB is a program stream, not a transport stream, so PIDs should be inapplicable. If the Stream menu is enabled something is wrong.

Please post an *unprocessed* source VOB fragment that I can use to duplicate your issue. Use DGSplit to split off the first 10Mbytes.

I downloaded your file linked above and opened it in DGIndex 1.5.1. It opened as a program stream and the Stream menu is grayed as it should be. The info dialog shows it as an MPEG2 program stream.

There is no audio in the VOB you linked as it appears to be menus, etc., for the DVD.

DGIndex is operating correctly. I can't help you with AutoGK.

OK, your video data within the first 32K is emulating a 192-byte transport packet! I'll make a point release to fix that, maybe tonight, at least by the end of the weekend.

New version handled the input files without a hitch. Thanks! Unfortunately, I experienced the same issue with AutoGK, though, where it complains about audio not being found. The version of DGMPGDec bundled with AutoGK 1.48b is 1.5.0 beta 10. Is there something different about the output from the newer versions of DGIndex? I experienced the same issue with all source content (not just the problem files that originated this thread) when replacing 1.5.0 beta 10 with 1.5.0 (latest released), 1.5.1, and now 1.5.2 (just swapped directory contents in C:\Program Files\AutoGK\DGMPGDec among the various versions).

Yes, audio handling changed. I cannot help you with AutoGK and I'm pretty sure it is no longer being updated. You can try MEGUI or just do things manually. It's not that hard.
