I've been trying to get Winamp DSPs to work in ffdshow for a time now. Whenever I click on audio config/winamp 2 page, and click the button to set the plugin directory, nothing happens. I have Winamp 2 installed, along with foobar, ffdshow's panel points to the latter now. But even if I copy the DSP dll there, it won't show up... I use rev1946

you must point ffdshow to winamp's working directory; NOT the plugins dir.

example:
c:/program files/winamp

not:
c:/program files/winamp/plugins

Well, the problem is that I can't point it to anywhere - as I've mentioned, when I click on the location button, nothing happens, no folder selection. Reinstall won't help.

well im not 100% sure;

maybe try a full uninstall + a registry cleaning with ccleaner (from filehippo.com)

after a reinstall, and it STILL doesnt work... try searching the registry for any matches to "/winamp/"

if none of that works; id message CLSID, or XXL on the FFDSHOW dev thread.

Folder selection works fine here.

For anyone who still has this problem: the folder location button doesn't work while a video is playing. It doesn't matter if the video is paused, and for some video players it doesn't even work while the player is open, even if no video is loaded.
Usually you would (or at least I would) access the configuration of FFDShow through a video player, so here is another way of opening the FFDShow configuration window.
Create a shortcut with this command, or press Win+R and type it in the Run window (and adjust FFDShow path if needed, I'm just using a 32bit version on 64bit Windows):

For audio decoder:
C:\Windows\System32\rundll32.exe "C:\Program Files (x86)\ffdshow\ffdshow.ax",configureAudio

For audio processor:
C:\Windows\System32\rundll32.exe "C:\Program Files (x86)\ffdshow\ffdshow.ax",configureAudioRaw
