Avi to DVD converter

What is a good avi to DVD converter? I want to simply take an avi and put it on a DVD that can be played in a DVD player. I don't want menus or anything, just a simple single video DVD disc.

I love DVDFlick, But when I converter my movie to DVD, movies can't load one times as a queue, I had to wait for loading every movie one by one. DVDFlick is freeware,and support over 45 file codecs, 60 video codecs and 40 audio codecs. Burn near every video file to DVD.
If you not to work a lot, This software is good.

Try AVStoDVD (http://avstodvd.googlepages.com/home). It is free and produce high quality DVD file.

Encode your video with AviSynth to HCenc or CCE, your audio with Aften (Aften to .ac3, HCenc to .m2v), and then author with TMPGEnc DVD Author, or your own preferred tool that won't re-encode your work :devil:

Whilst not free I use VSO ConvertXtoDVD seems pretty tolerant towards all manner of of formats and you can select either to have a menu or not.

Fully agree but I think the OP just wanted a simple solution without menu's and customisation or too many steps and when you consider the original source material has been horribly compressed from 4.7Gb to 350 or maybe 700MB I take a pragmatic view with files like this and just look for an easy one button type solution - naturally I would rather just play the original material or buy a DVD player that can handle DivX, XVID etc....
