X264 Dualcore use randomly switches off ???

Hmm strange thing i use --threads auto and after a while doing alot of encodes in one Windows XP CMD line it switches automaticly to 1 Core if i cancel it CTRL-C and start it again it uses 2 cores again, happens randomly. (No CPU intense process was running in the background) (Doesn't sound like a big problem but for Automated 2pass Encoding it could be quiete dull)
Anyone else experienced that???

I used the builds in the patch thread from different people tough it also happened for bobors build (dont ask me wich build number) now currently im useing komisars build since now no switch off anymore
this doesn't have to mean anything it could just have been a temporal problem whyever (but i didn restart the pc so it's still strange somehow) but hey PC is no console strange things happen from time to time hehe.
A maybe it was Microsofts Decoder (in that period it happened) later i used ffdshows (VC-1) and currently im useing ffmpegsource (vob source) seems stable now (all via avisynth).
