I would like to add my name on the left corner of the screen using external subtitle (built in image), but I don't know how to create a subtitle like that.
The subtitle always is displayed on the central.
Is there any formatted subtitle that can help me do that?
Thank you very much.

I don't know if this helps, but you can create a .txt file with:

1
00:00:00,000 --> 00:05:00,000
Name Here

and replace the end time with the length of your video. By default the subs will be centered and at the bottom, but you can adjust the position within DirectVobSub during playback so the sub is in the corner.

@IYG

Hi!

If I remember correctly, AutoGK will accept .SSA subtitles. An SSA file is simply a text file - that you can open in Notepad. It will include the following in its header:[V4 Styles]
Format: Name, Fontname, Fontsize, PrimaryColour, SecondaryColour, TertiaryColour, BackColour, Bold, Italic, BorderStyle, Outline, Shadow, Alignment, MarginL, MarginR, MarginV, AlphaLevel, Encoding
Style: Default,Arial,18,&Hffffff,&H00ffff,&H000000,&H000000,-1,0,1,2,3,2,20,20,20,0,1Messing around with the Bolded Red numerical setting ("2") should allow you to set the horizontal position.

Let us know how it goes...

@setarip_old:
I take this example from wikipedia. But the subtitle even didn't show up on the screen:
[V4 Styles]
Format: Name, Fontname, Fontsize, PrimaryColour, SecondaryColour, TertiaryColour, BackColour, Bold, Italic, BorderStyle, Outline, Shadow,
Alignment, MarginL, MarginR, MarginV, AlphaLevel, Encoding
Style: DefaultVCD, Arial,28,11861244,11861244,11861244,-2147483640,-1,0,1,1,2,2,30,30,30,0,0

[Events]
Format: Marked, Start, End, Style, Name, MarginL, MarginR, MarginV, Effect, Text
Dialogue: Marked=0,0:00:01.18,0:01:06.85,DefaultVCD, NTP,0000,0000,0000,,{\pos(400,570)}Like an angel with pity on nobody

Any advise?

and does work.

Edit: Actually it's the {\pos(400,570)} numbers that control position. Changing the first number controls left/right placement. The resolution must also match your video, meaning if the numbers are higher than your resolution it'll just display off-screen and you won't see it.

Yes, it is.
Thank you very much.
Now, I try to learn how to configure them.

If you mean how to time it so it displays throughout the video, that's simple. The line that begins "Dialogue: Marked=" is followed by the time the text appears during the video, followed by the duration of the text display. The placement will be trial and error since the position marks the center of the text - a number of 0 will have half the text off of the video to the left side and not visible. Obviously the text at the end is what will display.

Thank you for your reply.
I am trying to figure how I can add some effects and the position of the text (I can use \pos for this one)

You can use Subtitle Workshop to create a ssa file.
Shift+Alt+L will bring you the settings for output, including for ssa type.

enjoy,
