Error when convertin MP3->AC3 in batch, Foo/VI

I've been using the FooBar/VI method of converting MP3 files to AC3 6-channel using Foobar, VST, VI, and AFTEN. Converting files one at a time works just fine.

However when I try to convert two or more files in batch mode, I get the error screen below (with sections omitted). Sorry, I'm not well versed in these programs so I don't know how to read the error log. Can someone help me troubleshoot?

And how do you do the batch mode?

I open up multiple files into the main Foobar window, highlight more than one of them, and right-click on one of them, choose "convert" in the same way I do for a single file.

It creates 4-5 output files, each with an extra numbered prefix in the filename, so I know it's doing something different from a standard single-file conversion. But those output files end up incomplete or empty once I get the error.

Maybe there isn't a batch mode supported? It looks like when I do the above, it tries to convert all files at the same time ...

(Work for me with a Pentium4 (1 core). Don't begin the second until the first is finished.

Do you have a multicore cpu?)

EDIT: I spoke to quickly, the first is ok but the second is empty.
Seems the method don't work.

Good -- looks like you're at least seeing the problem I am seeing.

Yes, I have a Centrino Duo processor ... however I would have expected a "batch mode" operation to still run single-threaded ... it should at least just save on all of the user interaction required to process the files individually. It's fast enough without having to ask for multi-threading or pipelining benefits ... :)

I did end up converting the 44 music tracks individually, but it would have been much easier if this batch mode were working!
