How to convert .mpg Mpeg2 to DV-AVI ?

Serve it with DGMPGDec to VirtualDub. Use the cedocida DV codec to save as an AVI.

An alternative:
Open your MPEG-2 file in Avidemux (will be indexed automatically), set Video to "DV (lavc)", set Audio to whatever you like (e.g "MP3 (LAME)") and save the video...
(I don't know how good the libavcodec DV encoder performs compared to cedocida DV codec)

BTW: If you use the MPEG-2 plugin (http://fcchandler.home.comcast.net/~fcchandler/Plugins/MPEG2/index.html) by fccHandler, you won't need to use Avisyth+DGIndex to open your MPEG-2 file in VirtualDub ;)
