Can not find PID's, oh wait, yes it can.

This has been an issue with a number of videos. Using 1.5.0 final on Vista 64.

I load the vobs into DGindex and get an error message saying it can't find video or audio streams.

So I go into the Streams pulldown and select detect PID's, doesn't matter which, and even though it says it can't find the tables, all I have to do is hit set video and everything works again.

Or another way is to just open set PID and doesn't matter what values are in the boxes, just clicking OK sets everything the way it should.

My question is why can it no longer do it from the beginning yet works just fine after doing nothing in the streams menus?

Yes, a sample please. You can use DGSplit to split off the first 50-100MBytes.

First. I wanted him to have everything as exact as me. I process the whole files so I wanted him to have the whole file.

Second, by splitting the file, you change what it does inside DGindex.

In split form, it does not give the error message saying it can not find the video and audio streams. The original file gives 2 error messages, one on initial load and one when you save the project. The split file only gives a single error message when you try and save the project.

But if you really just want a sample Here it is (http://www.malamber.org/gaw/temp/VTS_11.VOB). But it's not going to act the same as the entire original file. I've already tested it.

Edit: Give it a few minutes to upload. I just started the upload process.

Edit: Just downloaded Danisan's file myself. It seems to be the same problem. But I found a new error with the his split and my split that does not occur in my original. When you go into "set PID" and click ok, an error message pops up saying "File contains all nulls". This doesn't occur in the original. In the original, by clicking "ok", DGindex seems to find the streams fine and I am able to save the project. So I'm going to ask you. Do you want the original which is about 2gig which responds differently then the split samples?

Your problem is that within the first 32K of the file, 3 successive transport sync bytes were found, so DGIndex detected it as transport. I changed the test to look for 4 successive sync bytes and it fixes your stream. I'll make a point release soon.
