PAL -> Bad NTSC -> PAL?

Hi everybody! I'm new here but I have been reading you for so long and have learnt many things thanks to you.

But I have a little trouble with a video, and can't find the way for solving it.

A friend of mine gave me a VOB file in NTSC.
When I play this file in a DVD-TV, it plays just like when you reverse the field order, you know what I mean, I suppose.

So, I reverse the field order with avisynth, but it still plays jumpy, but in other way, but badly too.

I told this to my friend, and he definitely told me that the video was originally PAL interlaced, but it was NTSC interlaced converted with bad field order.

So, I don't know what to do. I have tried so many scripts yours, but the only good thing I have got is 7 continuos frames and then one going back, 6 continuos frames, and one going back, 4 continuos frames, and one going back, 5 good 1 back, 7 good 1 back, 6 good 1 back... but it never follow a perfect pattern.

You have two options...

1. clarify the statement "a friend of mine gave me a VOB file in NTSC" - doom9 does not condone piracy (see terms of use which you just agreed to), then post a snippet of the VOB for people to take a look at. DGindex (amongst other things) lets you select a section and demux the video.

2. get the original PAL version instead!

I'm gonna pick the first option, because the original PAL source comes from "who knows"...
About piracy, this video is just a concert recorded from TV (not originally released), so it is totally legal.

I'm gonna extract a little demuxed clip from the VOB for you as soon as I can.
