x264 not working in gordian knot :-(

Hi

Ive installed gordianknot and the codec pack and i am trying to follow the doom9 sticky.. but when i click on options and then try to configure the x264 codec first and second pass nothing happens.. (as if x264 isnt installed or gordiancant find it?) Anyone come across this? do i have to put the x264.exe in a certain place?

That's because Gordion Knot doesn't work with x264, it works with the x264VfW package, which is not recommended to be used for a number of reasons.

You're probably better off using a more modern GUI like Ripbot264 or MeGUI if you want to use x264.

Right, Gordian Knot works only with VfW, and it's even broken with the latest Xvid. Gordian Knot has had no development in about five years.
