View Full Version : Hardware H264 and VC-1 decode with ATI?

I'm a former Nvidia user, and I was wondering what I should use for hardware decoding (like purevideo, but ATI doesn't seem to have a first party option...)?

Are there any directshow filters that do this? I don't really want to get a big dvd watching suite just for hardware decoding...

There wouldn't happen to be a version of those decoders in directshow format, would there be? I would like to be able to use em in Avisynth.

Read more carefully then. There is a stand alone filter from MPC Home Cinema. Ah sorry, it doesn't actually mention it there. Go to the SourceForge project page and you will find them.
