I would like to request a new forum section be added called "the movie fixers".

Let me elaborate. A friend of mine is replacing the fake "Mig 28's" in Top gun with CGI "Mig 29's". After that he plans on fixing some of the effects in "Predator" and then "Escape from New York" when it shows up in Hi Def.

So this got me to thinking, it would be really awesome if there was a forum where people could show their "fixes" for movies with bad or outdated FX.

p.s. Yes, I am aware that some people will groan and point to the special editions of Star Wars as reason not to touch the originals, but hey who wouldn't want the right planes in Top Gun????

It's beyond the scope of this forum. Try another forum, you might have better results.

...it would be really awesome if there was a forum where people could show their "fixes" for movies with bad or outdated FX.Within these threads are hundreds (thousands?) of examples of improvements folks have made (or attempted) for their videos, most of which are about solving specific problems along the way.

To establish a thread inviting "success stories" isn't the worst idea in the world, but if people DID contribute, can you imagine the mess of "how'd you do this or that" or "you did it the wrong way dude" posts that would result?

But in the end if you wanna start something, then you have to START SOMETHING i.e. make a contribution and hope it catches fire with others. Without this, it's only "a good idea" and frankly good ideas aren't worth a penny a dozen, much less a dime! :)
