Nero Recode in GraphEdit Crashes

When trying to use Nero Recode AVC filters in GraphEdit, GraphEdit crashes on Nero Digital Video Enc 8 configuration screen when I try to save my settings or make a new profile:

Is there anyway to use Nero Recode filters outside of Nero Recode? The reason is that there are quantizer settings in the filter that are not available for use in the Nero Recode GUI:

So, is there is a way to use Nero DirectShow Filters in other programs?

BTW: I'm using Windows Vista Business 32-Bit with compatibility mode and all updates instlaled.

those filters were simply not meant to be used in other programs...

I know that, it's just that I don't want to use the Nero Recode GUI - It seems too taxing and cumbersome.

Also, MeGUI gives me compatibility problems.

I've heard of a workaround:
