I've added the 3.91 lame_enc.dll to the BeSweet directory (using the latest beta BeSweet) but I cannot get any --alt-preset setting to work. Is there any mod that can be done to enable this?

besweet only supports a certain amount of input flags (it's all in the readme ;) and the lame_enc.dll doesn't even support these options.. its actually quite limited compared to the executable

There is a modded version of the Lame DLL which maps the presets to the q values. that might work with beSweet. Look for it over at hydrogenaudio.com

I have the modded version. The only problem with this is that the available q settings don't cover a regular alt preset 128 for smallish ABR. Oh well, back to Azid and Lame. Thanks guys.

the problem is that besweet will just ignore options it doesn't know if I'm not mistaken so this wouldn't work

i don't like the hacked-dll solution, and therefore don't support it.
will offer MY solution for presets whenever i finish v1.0 .

I haven't tested these yet but I'll get to it shortly and post my results. I had good luck out of the last version though:D

I've tried the standard preset and it seems to work as advertised. I would love to see if you could also implement the --alt-preset ABR settings as 160 abr with this setting is really a great size/quality trade off!
Keep up the great work!
