Hello,

I am trying to use the x264 guide , but i have a problem at very begining :( when it says :

Then start up Gordian Knot and click on the options tab. Then configure the x264 codec by clicking on the buttons for First Pass and Second pass.

http://www.doom9.org/images/gknot/gk-x264defaults.png

When I click on First pas or second pass, nothing happens. I believe it don't find where the x264 is ? but how to setup the path as in path tab there is no way to tell where is x264 ?

can anyone please help

:thanks:

x264 guide... Gordian KnotThis is your problem. Gordian Knot is, to say the least, extremely outdated.

Try a more modern program like Ripbot264 or MeGUI.

AFAIK Gordian Knot is based on VirtualDub(MOD). So this would mean you need the VfW edition of x264.

Although VfW itself is outdated and no longer supported officially by the x264 crew, recent VfW builds of x264 can be found here:
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=213809&package_id=257567

I also tried to make an x264 encoding guide, but it's mainly targeted for Avidemux, not GK or MeGUI:

Why not try ripbot264 im sure you would not need a guide its extremely easy to use :)
