I'd like to convert my HD-DVD's to TS containers so I can both play them on my HTPC and stream them to the kids PS/3 but would like suggestions on the "best / simplest tool" which can:
1) Read / Join the EVO's / Select the streams
2) If DD+ then convert to (L)PCM
3) Mux it out to a TS file

It would be a BONUS if I could also:
1) Keep Chapter Points
2) Keep Forced Subs

I've tried a few methods but each needs multiple tools at this stage....
Thanks
Nathan

i use evo demux to rebuild the 2 evo movie files to one file than i use tsmuxer or tsremux to create .ts files or a blu ray file, this is how i convert a HD DVD to a Blu Ray,http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=134104,

I don't think there are any '1-click' tools right now but that may change in the future. Eac3to_And_More_GUI is your best best to 'bridge' all the necessary apps for right now.

Use search. asking about "best/simplest" is a violation of the rules. In addition Epiphone is right, there are no 1 click solutions.

Thanks - I just thought I'd check as after reading the threads I could find I had so far used the following workflow to convert my first disk but wanted to check if I was making life overly complicated:
1) Demuxing & Audio Conversion: using Eac3to More GUI by Yraen V1.09 Beta 2
2) PCM to PCM-TS Conversion: used the Pcm2tsmu
3) Remuxing: tsMuxeR GUI 1.8.4

Results: All seems to play fine with the exception that there are no Chapters (I'm note even sure you can have chapters in TS Containers) and no Subs.

Thanks
Nathan

Where is this Pcm2tsmu program, cause im wanting to do the same thing.

Got alot of HD-DVDs that are TrueHD and convert them over to Blu-Ray with PCM.

Plus guys don't forget you can also find out the chapters and paste them into TSMuxer in the chapters page as well when u find out the chapters from your trusty HD-DVD Demuxer

This is pretty much the same method I have been using for a while now and it gives me perfect results :)

Nah....I don't use chapters and only use forced subs when needed in an external SRT file.

thanks - do you know if it is even possible (and how) to mux in a Forced Subs stream (and to a lesser extent chapers) that works?

Well you can mux SRT with tsMuxeR but I always use external subs so I can't say if that would work. The only way that I could see chapters working would be using MKV but the PS3 can't play MKV and my NMT doesn't support chapters in MKV.

thanks - I'll have a play with the SRT stuff as I too want to be able to stream the result to the kids PS3 as well as play on the main HTPC but without forced subs some movies are kinda hard to watch....I can live without chapters...
