Hi, i don't know much about video and codecs and whatever, i just use VLC and i can play anything with no problems, but i'm having some problems with incomplete files or with files where frames are skipped

I'm looking for a software to FIX broken files, to makes the video play all in order, i got 600MB+ files where i can only view some minutes of video
I'm also looking for something easy to use, no video editing software or whatever, something where i can load the file and just fix it, if it's possible

I already got G Spot to identify codecs but it also finds some problems in the files... but won't fix them

Thanks all for the help :thanks:

Hi!incomplete files or with files where frames are skipped...broken files, to makes the video play all in order, i got 600MB+ files where i can only view some minutes of videoWith so many different problems, I'd suggest that you:

1) Re-evaluate the procedures and software that you've used to create these files

2) Check you system (including RAM) for problems

3) Re-rip and re-convert your original source material to the desired format

Thanks! :)
Detect the key-frame for these codecs:

* XviD
* DivX 4, 5
* 3ivx
* Microsoft MPEG4 (versions 1, 2, 3)
* DivX 3.11 and late (versions 1, 2, 3 Low è Fast)
* Angel Potion (versions 1 è 2)

Does it mean it works with .mpg files?

Are you now addressing "dialysis1" or me?

I have no idea of what you are now trying to say/ask...

you could try these:
mencoder to fix avi's or mgp's
ffmpeg for mpg's
AVI-Mux for avi's
tmpgenc for mpg's
divfix is also useful for avi's

but i have to agree with setarip_old, you probably need to re rip the content.
