hi all hope all is well, I have been trying to convert a mpeg file to xvid with auto gordian knot but when i try to input the file i get a warning saying no video streams were found. has anyone any help with this. thank you.

Load the MPEG file into GSpot and post a screen capture back here...

thanks for getting back to me.thing is i dont no how to post a screen shot. if you could help me with that that would be good understand if you have not the time.cheers. or maybe i could get the info of gspot you need.

Download G-Spot
http://www.free-codecs.com/download/GSpot.htm

Unpack it, run GSpot.exe
drag & drop your file onto its window, press Alt+PrintScreen
then select Start -> Run, type mspaint
press CTRL+V
File -> Save As (type JPEG *.JPG)
goto eg. http://imageshack.com
Upload the image and post the link here.

It looks like you've taken a ".DAT" file from a VCD and simply changed the extender from ".DAT" to ".MPG"...

ok mate thank you,does that mean i can not convert it to xvid just the qty is not very good.

It means that you'd get far better results by going back to your original source material (presumably a DVD) that you used to create the VCD and using the original source material with AutoGK...
