Yes, I tried already to build the BD structure with tsMuxeR but I would like to keep the TrueHD audio track and the final result is not ok on my standalone BD player. Picture is not "fluid".

Sounds like an FPS problem even though your BluRay stream is already at 23.976 and you shouldn't have to change that but you should try changing these things:
1) Change FPS from 24000/1001 -> 24
2) Uncheck 'Add Picture Timing Info'
3) Uncheck 'Continually insert SPS/PPS'
I would try these things first cause when I went searching for an answer to the 'SPI file' problem, which was last year some time, I found absolutely nothing. If you do a search now you come across people with the same issue but still no answer. I think it's because certain streams are authored with apps that use certain meta data files similar to VES files in Scenarist that need to be present when working with these ES streams in Scenarist. Others have said it's because these streams are Level 4.0 and not 4.1 but all BluRay movies AFAIK are High@level 4.1 so I don't think that's it. What output FPS do you use for your BD player 24fps or 60fps?

Hi,
Thanks for your answer.
I did that and unfortunately got the same error from MUI. Also tried some configurations with those parameters but always got error.
The stream is already 23.976 fps, profile 4.1 and 1080p.
Any other idea to test?
What output FPS do you use for your BD player 24fps or 60fps?
My BD player is a Samsung BD-P1400. I use 24fps.

I meant to just use tsMuxeR, without demuxing the streams, to output the BluRay using 'Create Blu-ray Disc' option. You may have to try this several times with a combination of the settings to get your desired result. As another test try 'Create Blu-ray Disc' with all default options enabled -> change your BluRay players output to 60fps along with your display and see if that allows fluid playback. I know it's not your desired result but it would help narrow down the problem. You may also want to post in the tsMuxeR thread if you haven't already. Trying to get help with Scenarist is like trying to get blood from a stone even here on Doom9.

I used to have same error before I switched to TsMuxer - does anyone know what this SPI stands for and what in the original stream causes MuiGenerator to ask for it ?

The only thing I could find for SPI files when I searched a while back that had anything to do with A/V was Panasonic subtitle files. Others say it's a meta-data file that is created when authored. If you combine those two theories I would take an under-educated guess and say the stream was authored using either Blu-Print or Panasonics proprietary BluRay authoring app, that I know exists but not sure of the name, and that's what creates the SPI file. I could be wrong and maybe somebody else knows but as I said, blood from a stone.

lol - i found the subtitle thing also , but it kind of makes no sense.
for me the key questions remain
1. is there nobodywho can define what that SPI issue is?
2. what distinguishes the bitstream from others which don't have that. If I recall correctly even h264info doesn't 'clean' it

Actually, I tried h264info and MUI Generator will accept my video stream. But then another problem occurred, this time on HDMV side. When importing the asset I got this error: "Error Content: Value of VideoFormat is not supported in the BD standard".
Maybe with a future release of h264info we can solve this problem.

"Error Content: Value of VideoFormat is not supported in the BD standard".
I have gotten this error as well in BDA before and again switching to tsMuxeR solved it. I can think of one way that might allow BDA to accept the stream would be to:
1) Load M2TS into tsMuxeR -> change FPS to 29.97 -> demux stream
2) load stream into MUI Generator/BDA and see what happens.
For some odd reason BDA, at least older pre 4.5 versions, seem to have problems with ES BD streams, mostly AVC, in their proper 24p format. Go figure, a $60,000 muxing app would have problems with the streams that itself is supposed to make.

Tried this with several combinations of the other parameters and got the same SPI error or another error: "ERROR"
Can anyone try with v4.5? :D
