AC3 audio sounds fine untill muxed with video file?

not sure what is happening here i have an ac3 audio stream sounds great until i mux in the video, interleave set for 64 MS everything is fine until the final avi is played then the sound just crackles and is totally fragmented has any one come across this b4 and if so how do i go about fixing it, this is the second movie iv done with ac3 and the first one was fine i can still play back ac3 movies np and as i say until i mux in the video this ac3 audio stream sounds great.

perhaps this is a performance problem, and your computer is too slow to play video and ac3 at once? Did you increase video resolution or something like that, so that the last movie needed lower ressources?

thanks for the reply don't think its my PC amd xp 1.6 i found the problem the finished file was over 2gb when i chopped it up into CD sized bits every thing was fine :)
