I have a sample m2ts file that I am trying to encode, I am unable to play it using mpc. I have haali media splitter and ffdshow filters installed.
When I open the the m2ts sample in TS Packet Editor it gives me the following error
Attempting To Open File...
Attempting To Open Video, this may take a while...
Error: Attempting To Open Video
Exception from HRESULT: 0x80040240.
Error: No File Open
Any help on this is appreciated.

It's not clear. Your input file is an M2TS? What kind of video do you have in there?

Its m2ts file with VC-1 video in it. I am trying to encode it in mkv but I keep getting an error. That I posted http://forum.doom9.org/showpost.php?p=1147165&postcount=1602
When I open the m2ts file using TS Packet Editor I get that. Not sure if its problem with my setup or is that m2ts corrupt.

Demux the VC1 video using xport.exe. Then open it with DirectShowSource().

Send me 50MB sample so I could see if this works on my pc.

Demuxing and Remuxing solved the problem. Seems like its a badly cut sample.
