HDDVD (UK edition of The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Live At Monterey [HD DVD] [1967] ).
Playing EVO (in MPC with Sonic 4.2 filters) gives perfect sound
But when the lpcm is demuxed with EVODemux to raw lpcm (67,052,160 bytes) & converted with eac3to to wav, the resulting wav has pitchy/hissing noise on top of the underlying audio
Also tried the conversion with LPCM -> WAV from Mediachance DVD Lab Pro 2 and the result is the same

2ch 16bit 48khz

If instead using EVODemux I use graphedit with dump filter & convert resulting .raw file (66,982,400 bytes) with eac3to to .wav then the sound is fine
So it looks like some EVODemux "error"

Anybody could help?

Thanks

Hi!But when the lpcm is demuxed with EVODemux to raw lpcm (67,052,160 bytes) & converted with eac3to to wav, the resulting wav has pitchy/hissing noise on top of the underlying audioHave you played this version of the raw LPCM stream to determine whetherthe problem is introduced (by EVODemux) at this point or subsequently (by EAC3TO)?

I yet to discover HOW to play raw lpcm file
If you know how then of course I will try

All I can say is that eac3to does NOT change file size (it only rewrites the header to wav I believe)

Hence my 10 pence is on EVOdemux

A little searching/Googling indicates that a program named "GWave" is capable of playing raw LPCM audio...

Yeh, and I am yet to get Linux machine to be able to use it....

And DEFINITELY EVOdemux 0.628 fault, as eac3to -demux produces perfect soundinf lpcm file
