How To Use Playlist in MPC 6.4.9.1

I can't get mpc to pick up and use a playlist.

I can get it to show the playlist window, which is empty. But there I'm stuck.

This seems so easy that no one anywhere mentions how to do it.

But... I need help. Please?

Drag and drop playlist files or media files over the playlist and double click any listed items to have playback.
