This tool don't change the audio data, only insert headers between data. If TsMuxer accept the file with the bitdepth, samplerate and num channels than you put, pcm2tsmu work fine.

I don't own the sonic decoder then I can't test it.

I think the issue is with the remapping of channels with eac3to not your tool..somethings not right when it has a 7.1 source. all the channels are there they just are not correct on playback. I am trying to see if madshi will look into it, but if he does not have a 7.1 receiver he will have problems troubleshooting the issue.

Hello,

maybe a NOOB question,

i have succesfully used this tool but how do I merge the pcm file with a m2ts file? tsmuxer is telling me that I cant`join the file because of the different extensions. I reencoded Casino Royale with BD Rebuilder without any sound so I have a 17 GB m2ts file with only the movie. Now I want to add the pcm track in it.

Thx in advance

Patrick

Use the add button, not join in tsMuxeR. The process you are referring to is called "muxing"... or "multiplexing". The opposite would be called "demuxing".

Allright I`ll try that. What should I select as output? m2ts file or Blu ray. I assume that th mpls file also needs to be changed because of the sound track?

m2ts will playback on your PC or a PS3 (streaming, or directly on the HDD). Blu-ray output for a BD disc. There is no MPLS file if you mux to m2ts, that belongs to a BD or AVCHD file structure.

I understand but i`ll burn the movie to a blu ray disc. I already reencoded the whole disc but without audio. So if I ad the audio will my ps3 see the audio track by itself or do I have to change the mpls file?

import the video in tsmuxer, then add the audio (you could/should specify the language for completeness sake) if you want the original chapter timing you can also import these in tsmuxer (BD-tab)
set output to Blu-ray and burn that to BD, your PS3 reads BD so no probs there, all necessary files/file structure will be created by tsmuxer
burn with imgburn in filesystem UDF 2.5

Thx for the reply!! I us BD rebuilder to back up my movies but rebuilder can`t work with LPCM. Now I use this program save the movie als blu ray disc in tsmuxer and then copy the main movie including its mpls and clpi file into the rest. So now I have full backups with menu and LPCM!!!!

Hello,

Could anyone help me with the following problem?
I use EAC3to_more_gui to extract the true HD audiostream out of a M2TS file. I convert the stream to .pcm. As I want to use Pcm2Tsmu v1.3, I give the file the name "stdout". The program then should pick up the created .pcm file and run it thru Pcm2Tsmu.

The program uses the following command line:
"C:\...\Desktop\EAC3TO\eac3to.exe" "E:\....\00012.m2ts" 3: "stdout.pcm" | "C:\...\Desktop\Pcm2Tsmu1302\Pcm2Tsmu.exe" - "E:\...\audiofile.pcm"

Once I run the command line, the program diappears from the screen and returns after a few seconds with all fields empty. In the background nothing is processed.

When I just run EAC3to (without additionally Pcm2Tsmu), a .pcm file is created. Ofcourse I need Pcm2tsmu to get a file that can be used to create an altered M2ts file.

I`ve checked the path to Pcm2Tsmu.exe.

I would be very grateful if anyone could help me out here.

Thanks a lot!

Geren

Thanks.

I can't reproduce your problem but maybe is related with the GUI and/or long names and/or 'pipe' work.

- Always use simple names like D:\temp\movie1.m2ts
- Try use command line instead GUI's not updated
- Or try use other GUI like UsEac3to
- Or better: forget Pcm2Tsmu, now TsMuxer accept w64 format (maybe also wav >4GB, not tested by me)

"C:\Users\Geren\Desktop\EAC3TO\eac3to.exe" "E:\Die hard\Die.Hard.2.Die Harder.1990.BluRay.1080p.DTS-MA + ac3 + DTS.Remuxed.dxva-KNiCKER.m2ts" 4: "E:\Die hard\Die Hard 2.w64"

I'm having trouble converting a DTS-MA 7.1 file to LPCM using Pcm2Tsmu with stdout in Eac3to and More GUI. The resulting file comes out too short, so when I MUX the audio with the video, the audio plays like it is slowed way down from the video. Is there an output file size limitation with Pcm2Tsmu, or maybe in Eac3to? My source audios file is 4GB, and the resulting audio file is about 7GB.

Convert DTS-MA to .w64 with eac3to.
DTS-MA source 4GB to 7 GB LPCM/wav/w64 output is normal.

Hi tebasuna.

I've lost my Pcm2Tsmu copy; the link is broken.
Could you upload again?

Thanks!

With last tsMuxeR is recommended use .w64, but here is:

Thanks, i didn't know TSMuxer doesn't need pcm2tsmu on Windows 64?

EDIT: Sorry, i've missed that post, but i still don't know what w64 is?
Thanks.

WAV container have equivalent audio data than .pcm (PCM uncompressed samples) with a header (.pcm don't have header) but with 2 fields (with only 32 bits) than limit the length to 4GB.
W64 container have the same audio data than WAV, but the header have 64 bits fields to avoid the 4GB limit.

Last tsMuxeR version support W64 input and you can use eac3to to export PCM tracks (or decode tracks) to W64 format.

:thanks: It works like a charm!

EDIT: My trial .w64 was 5GB, btw.

Version of tsmuxser now do not extract LPCM audio stream over 4GB, stream will be separated many sub-streams (wav files) under 4GB (3,99GB) to avoid this problem. When trying to demux with tsmuxer and remux with mkvmerge you just use function "append" to append these subs.

Yes, is a know issue.

BTW, I don't recommend use tsMuxeR to extract streams, use always eac3to 2.70.
