I had a major problem when the electric company decided to flash the lights a couple of times while GKnot was on it's second pass, this could also apply in cases where the machine freezed or something went wrong anyway, what steps should somebody take to make GKnot restart the second pass only , since the audio is already compressed and the End Credits are finished too and all that remains is for the movie to be encoded and muxed with the audio, now in my case the settings of GKnot where lost 'cause of the restart but I din't have a clue what to do just to make a second pass, I did encode everything from the beggining but I am quite sure there is a way to use the first pass logs somehow. If there is time could you please make a short guide about it because this could apply to many cases I guess. Thanks for this great app once again, and MAJOR THANKS to DOOM too for his amazing guides and his effort and free time he put's on this.

I've had the same problem, except my RAM fried in the process, so after an RMA from Crucial here's what i did, I encoded just the movie part, second pass only with v.0.23 no audio. Then using nandub i merged the video, credits to main movie, and added the Mp3 audio track, for info on merging video try http://nickyguides.digital-digest.com/ the same stuff applies for virtual dub as nandub exept nandub will allow you to use your vbr mp3. you can always IM me if you get stuck, aol sn SmokesLikeaPoet

Thanks for the tip , I guess the solution was more than obvious but I couldn't put it all together, the part that confused me I guess was that the last time this happened I wasn't prepared with the number of the movie frames and GKnot gave me an error message regarding the actuall movie frames and the ones recorded in the log file, from that point on I use a piece of paper writing down everything tha regards the movie, in any case your answer was quite helpfull thanks again.
