Hi! I tried to calculate how much would I need if I wanted to use 10 megs per minute of audio/video and I calculated it as around 1365 kbps. But using MeGUI Bitrate calculator I got 1393 kbps. After thinking over it for a while I realized that according to MeGUI 1 kbps = 1000 bps while I was thinking of 1024 bps. Now when it comes to encoding (I'm using AVC and AAC), when I choose the bitrates, what convention are they following (x264 and Nero Digital). Thanks.
PS. Is this the case with any encoder eg LAME, etc ?
