View Full Version : CCE Keeps displaying wrong duration

I am using CCE SP V2.7 and it seems to screw up every encode I do.

I have multiple avi files of various sizes...but for this example lets use a 20 min one. It always comes up at around 16 minutes...if I do a 30 min one, it comes up around 18 minutes, and I have a 24 min one that comes up at 19 min. Point being it tells me the wrong duration no matter which file I open. I thought this might be nothing so I went ahead and encoded...

Well it comes out to 16 min still, and the audio was off...it turns out that CCE is encoding the video to play much quicker then what I specified...MPC tells me its 29.97 but it is playing quicker then the audio...it does this for every file no matter what settings I put it under. I tried chaning from the default 2:3 pulldown to 3:2, I tried changing to 23.976 frame rate but the outcome is always the same. A shorter version of the original file because its being encoded to play at a higher rate...any ideas on how to fix this?

Hi!

1) Have you had previous success using CCE to convert .AVIs?

2) Please load one of the problematic .AVIs into GSpot and post a screen capture back here.

3) Do you have a relative named Larry?

1.Nope...I recently had a comp die on me that had tmpgenc 3.0 but the autho code went with it so I decided to give CCE a try. Havn't been able to get 1 right yet.

Nothing in the GSpot screen capture jumps out at me - other than my personal curiosity as to why you would use the ancient NanDub to create the .AVI...

I didn't create the AVI file. It was downloaded...so no idea then...that sucks.
