Ok, I have a really odd problem and I hope you guys can help me out.
Specs: Core 2 Duo @ 2,8 ghz, ati x1950 catalyst 8.5, asus p5wdh deluxe, WinXp Pro SP2, DX 9.0c
Problem: Everytime I watch a Video that get's rendered with the Standard Video Renderer (DirectX Output, quartz.dll) I get really pixelated Video: http://molkemon.funpic.de/indigenbad.jpg
If I use a merit changer to use VMR9 (or Haali renderer or just something else) rather than Standard Video Renderer, the picture is fine: http://molkemon.funpic.de/indigengood.jpg
Now while I am able to change merits in DirectShow Players like WMP or ZoomPlayer, this is not possible in Players that bring their own codecs like VLC or SMPlayer. In these I can use Direct3D or OpenGL Output though. So while I'm pretty much able to just work around Standard Video Renderer, this still bugs me and I would really like to know why the picture quality is so bad with it.
At first I thought my quartz.dll file is broken, but I use the EXACT SAME FILE (Date matches) on my Laptop and Standard Video Renderer works flawlessly there. I just don't see why that would be, and even less, how I can fix it. Has anyone else ever encountered this problem? I would really like to get this fixed :)
NOTE: The Problem can only be realted to the Video Renderer itself, as it absolutely doesn't matter what kind of input I use (DVD, Xvid, h264, flv, codecs are completely irrelevant).
