View Full Version : Dvd rip, but only with the right audio track

I've been using DVD Decrypter and AutoGK for awhile, and feel pretty comfortable with just basic ripping. However, one particular DVD has music on the left audio channel, and normal sound/dialogue on right audio channel. What I would like to do on the ripped version is:

1) completely drop the left (music) channel.
2) Include the right (sound/dialogue) channel, prefereably in Mono.

I searched around, but could not find any way to get this to work. Simply changing the audio options on the media player when I play back is not enough. Any suggestions?

Hi!

One way to accomplish this would be:

Once converted to .AVI (Xvid-compressed or otherwise), you should be able to load the audio into any number of audio editors (e.g. GoldWave), eliminate the music channel and save the remaining stream as mono.

Once you've done this, you can load the original .AVI into VirtualDub MOD (and possibly, the most recent version of standard VirtualDub), delete the original audio and replace it with the new mono stream...
