CCE shortened my movie?!?

I've been trying to use CCE SP to make an SVCD compatible file for the last few night with no luck. The movie is Blood: The Last Vampire which is 48 minutes and 17 seconds long, I thought this would be perfect. I ripped it(yes I do own it, this is an experiment), put it through DVD2AVI and created a project, put that into TMPEG to resize and deinterlace, made a project, put that through VFAPI reader to make the AVI I'm using. First I thought it was adding frames to the file I was using because the file should only have around 87000 frames, but CCE was listing 260,000+ frames to be encoded, this I figured out to be CCE way of showing that it was going to encode it three times,( I had it on 3 passes). So after that I restarted CCE encoding and went to bed. Well the next morning I got up and checked on it only ot find that the file is 31 minutes and some seconds long. Any clues as to what happened?

If you want a simple all in one solution for creating SVCD's use dvd2svcd. Best tool there is + it uses CCE for the encoding so speed/quality is good.

:D Have had the same problem :) I bet you use windows mediaplayer to check the lenght of your movie. Windows mediaplayer can't give the correct lenght of the movie(this is only when you use vbr in cce), it gives alwasy shorter time than it really is. What you have to is just mux the audio and the *.mpv that cce created with bbmpeg and it should be alright then :) Don't fortet to pulldown the *.mpv if it is ntsc. Hoop this will do it for you.

In another thread, I mentioned running a test of Rush Hour 2 (my friend didn't want to scratch his original disc and asked me to make him a backup) in CCE. When I did the video (once using IVTC in Avisynth, once using Forced Film, and once with the full 29.97), not only did WMP show the incorrect time, but WinDVD 2.4 did as well. When I did the first 2 tests (IVTC and Forced Film, since it was 98% Film), I tested the non-pulldown version, as well as the version after the pulldown. They both reported incorrect times. This may have just been a quirk of the DVD that I used for the test. I should also note that the audio (processed using tooLAME and SSRC) turned out to exponentially desync from about the midpoint of the movie (I'm talking about 1-2 min desync). This also happened when I did a 2-pass SVCD encode of Aliens (1 test with IVTC, the other without). It might be something as simple as me using an older version of Avisynth (the MMX optimized version from Doom9's page). Who knows...

Oddly enough, when done in TMPG, with tooLAME and SSRC used to process the audio, everything comes out in perfect sync (in both tests). Could this be a bug in CCE or just a bug in the older version of Avisynth? I, for one, have no idea.
