I've been experimenting with these filter lately and I found out that on some topics people mention the w3d mode, i've try it and I can't get it to work, the avisynth tells me that a2d a3d m2d m3d c2d c3d are the options avaliable...

Maybe in the newer versions they changed w3d for m3d?

Am I right or wrong?

m3d was from older versions actually, and it was later replaced with w3d.

Seems so, but isn't. Something went wrong with that package. File dates of DLL and readme are from 2005, but infact it's an older version from 2002. It doesn't contain the "w?d" modes, and has fewer paramters.

This version (http://www.mediafire.com/?zj9tte9yttp) is dated from 2003, contains the "w?d" modes and provides a bunch of additional stuff.

(The readme of the "newer-but-older" version is just titled "Beta 2", where the 2003 version is titled "Deen 1.0 beta 1".)

Whats the difference between w3d and c3d? i've test them on videos and to my eye its just the same...

If I recall correctly, c3d mode only uses a 1 pixel radius. w3d allows you to set a wider radius, and pixels farther from the radius are weighted less heavily.

I'm pretty sure you can set the radius from 1 to 4 in any 3D mode; the important distinction between C and W modes is the weighting you mentioned, based on distance from the target pixel, that is present in W mode. This is what makes W mode better for preserving gradients.

It also changes behaviour of the min parameter; in W mode, this parameter can be used to reduce the weights of the pixels even further.
