I've had a look through these forums and Google generally looking for a Linux HD-DVD tool, but haven't been able to find any. Is there such a thing?
I know interest in HD-DVD has pretty much waned now that the format war's over, but my particular interest is that I have an Xbox 360 with HD-DVD addon, and the only way to get it to play HD h264 content with 5.1 would seem to be to create an HD-DVD from it. Now it looks like it's pretty straightforward to convert, say, an mkv file with HD h264 video and 5.1 ac3/DTS to a ts file. However I can't find any Linux tool to convert this into a basic HD-DVD structure (I'm not looking for menus or anything fancy, just the video). In fact, I can't even seem to find such a thing for Bluray...
Failing a native Linux tool, a free (as in beer) which runs under Wine (or failing that a VM) would do?
On another note: does anyone know whether the Xbox 360 plays HD-DVDs burnt to DVD5/DVD9?
