Repairing single frame of h264 MKV.. Possible?

I just finished encoding my Serenity HD-DVD and it looks great but there are two frames in different spots that go to hell. Is there a program I can use to replace these frames? Thanks!

No, there is not. You will have to reencode it.

you could also reencode only the part between the two idr frames around the errors

Thanks bond. Would you use trim() in avisynth to re-endcode the appropriate sections and then splice the video apart and back together with mkvtoolnix tools?

First split the video so that the parts with the bad frames are as small as possible.
Then edit those bad parts with avisynth, encode (same settings!), and put all parts together again.

If anyone's still reading, is there any software out there that can scan for bad frames automatically or do you have to watch the 2 hr movie and see for yourself?

Unless mkvtoolnix has better split capabilities now, the simplest method I found was to split always on 1s boundaries (splits every gop mostly), replace the bad chunks, and append everything back together. A bit of a pain but at least it works.
