View Full Version : Audio sync issue

When I load this avi in Vdub I get this message:

VirtualDub has detected an improper VBR audio encoding in the source AVI file. This may introduce up to 32836 ms of skew from the video stream.

(bitrate: 80.4+- 10.6kbps)

Now it said that I could fix this using full processing mode but that made a grossly huge avi file.

What is the best method to fix this issue because I want to take out portions of this video and post them online without sync issues though.:helpful:

Hi!What is the best method to fix this issue because I want to take out portions of this video and post them online without sync issues thoughYou don't have any "synch issues" presently. Cut your clips first - you may be surprised...

BTW - Why did you create the .AVI with VBR .MP3 audio?

I didn't, I got the clip as an mpg file and then re-encoded it as an avi using mediacoder which put the audio in sync. But when I try to put it in Vdub to cut out a segment to post online I get that error.

You might want to RE-read the "Announcement" at the top of the "Newbies" sub-forum, as well as all of the Forum Rules (particularly #6) - especially since any member providing assistance here might also be "struck"...
