Okay, failing a suitable player for .evo files (with sound in sync), is there any good codec I can losslessly encode my unencrpyted .evos to that's supported by a good stable and consistent Mac player? File size is not an issue. Encoding time is not an issue. I just want to be able to playback my .evo's on my Mac in their native quality.
Recommendations?

What would I play those with? Perian?

What would I play those with? Perian?Probably, since libavcodec supports both.

Sync problems could be caused by slow video decoding. Have you checked CPU utilization during video playback? If you accept MPlayer as a "good stable and consistent Mac player", it has many options to tune A/V synchronization (try -framedrop or -autosync 30).
You could also try remuxing the video and audio tracks to some other container (like Matroska). At least eac3to should be able to demux the video and audio tracks from EVO files.

Thanks for the tips. As I've explained in another thread, I've already been through all the sync'ing options in Mplayer. No matter how I set any of them, my synchronus problem is pretty dang consistent.
I'll look into some of the other options suggested here.
