Hi
What could cause the error:
The directory selected does not contain DVD material
to start appearing for DVD-RB Pro v1.27.3 just out of the blue??
I get this when I point it any DVD source folder (and no I am not pointing it at a DVD drive or virtual DVD drive).
DVD Remake Pro still reads these folders fine... DVD Rebuilder was working great until this evening??!! In fact I haven't really had any major problems with it before...
I tried reinstalling DVD-RB but this had no affect on the problem...
Any thoughts guys?? :confused::confused:

I had this a few weeeks ago. Can't remember the exact solution, but examine your folder carefully and your setup folders.

Possible causes:
1. There is no VIDEO_TS folder
2. There are not IFOs in the folder
3. The IFOs are not correctly formatted.
4. There are no VOBs in the folder.

None of the above and no changes made by me to the configuration file.
Anyway a full uninstall and reinstall of DVD-RB Pro v.1.27.3 + reboot and everything is back to normal. Able to read all the DVD folders that were failing before.
Maybe you could look at the code for checking the main configuration file / loading new project files... I think something must be going wrong there - perhaps?? Sorry I didn't pin it down very well!!

I saw this when I had started a backup to the DVD-RB source folder & pointed DVD-RB to it before the backup was done.

Yeh it was wierd. I am sure the folders weren't locked and my user was set as the owner in the Windows security ACL... Hmmm....
It would be nice if errors were more specific to what is going wrong... Like much more specific!! Since this error message is obviously not correct. It must be catching another error (like the folder is locked by another application, etc.)

Google desktop has caused similar errors on my system - I haven't had this exact problem, but it has locked folders making it difficult to delete them.

BobI would disagree. It is telling you exactly what the problem is... what it can't tell you is why, which is system specific. DVD-RB looked for IFO files in the specified directory using the Operating System to do so. The O/S told it there weren't any. That means "the directory doesn't contain DVD material."

I'm getting this error too once again. I ripped two DVDs on my HD, used DVDRemake Pro to merge them and tried to open the resulting folder in DVD-RB. Then I just keep getting the infamous error :(
@jdobbs: I noticed that the other DVD is not recognized at all as having DVD material in DVD-RB for some reason. Would you like to see the IFO files (or something else) from the original DVD?
