DirectShowSource contains audio from previous video

Alright, this is strange. I used DirectShowSource to open a Fraps AVI and used it to encode a video to ship to Youtube. A day later, today, I used DirectShowSource to open another completely unrelated MP4. I hear the old AVI's audio over the existing MP4, and the time is changed to meet the old Fraps AVI's timeline-thing, 5:05. Now as a test, I opened a video longer than the old Fraps AVI with DSS (opened an MKV). The old audio only goes on for the old AVI's time, 5:05, and then the video is normal.

I opened the MP4 and MKV in MPC, and the problem doesn't exist. I opened the same AVS in GraphStudio, and played it. Nothing wrong.

In any case, I am perplexed. I turned the computer off after encoding the old AVI, and today... I hear Asu e no Houkou playing over some calm video. Granted, that's a great song :), but still.

Don't know if this will help but I had the same problem with another NLE. It would happen if I used the same file name over again even if the old info didn't exsist. This was caused by a "Proxy" file created for the first video by the NLE software.

It seems I found the problem. In the same folder (my desktop) I had an mp4 named, guess what, directshow video.mp4. It's the same name as my AVS. Alright, problem solved.

Yes, this happens with players. If you have two files, blah.avi and blah.mp3 and the AVI has audio in it, the player will play both the AVI and MP3
