I'm not totally new to Blu-Ray auhtoring, but there's a new project passing my way.

There's an exposition with HD material played on an PS3. People can push 7 buttons and every buttons playbacks an video on the Blu-Ray disc.
These buttons are connected to an remote control for the PS3. Every button stands for an number on the remote (button1 = number1), etc...

Now, my question is... Is it possible to scan the User-Input from the remote... So when an user pushes button 1, the blu-ray is going to jump to movietitle 1, or chapter 1?

I allready found some articles about implementing this into an BD-J environment. But it would be great if its possible to implement into an HDMV project...

I hope someone can help me with this:thanks:

Which tool are you using to author? Can you give a link to the article. I'll try this on Blu Print this weekend to see if it works.

Hi Eric,

We're currently using Scenarist HDMV. I don't have a link to an article online, but got my information from "the HD Cookbook - Programming HDDVD and Blu-Ray Disc". They only suggest a BD-J based application. But i dont want to author in BD-J...

or... is it possible, when a user pushes a number on his remote, a certain (hidden or visual) button gets activated... that would also be a solution to my problem :)

so, i believe no'one has got an answer to my question?
in sonic scenarist (SD version), its possible to do this, to attach a number of the remote to an button on the screen... but is this also possible in scenarist HDMV?
