I cannot no matter what settings I use in automkv 0.95 get it to crop the sides off of a vob file. I just stops after audio encoding and the log says job finished. I see a quick dos box that says Let's mux and then its gone. And something about file not supported. I have captured LD to a stand alone dvd recorder. The resulting dvd has extra black bars vertically along the sides of the picture from the LD player. A screenshot from an uncropped x264 from automkv.

The autocrop feature I read about does not get rid of them, so I tried manual crop and set it at L 8 R 4 but it blows up and doesn't encode any video. I encodes fine if I uncheck manual crop. I cannot find any guides or posts that explain what I am doing wrong. I don't want to resize it and lose quality just chop the damn sides off a bit. Also I want to encode it anamorphically is this compatible with manual crop? I couldn't get crop to work either way.
