Video: noise reduction filter for MPC

i'm looking for a filter to reduce noise while playing a movie (x264-coded) in Mediaplayer classic.

Hi!

I believe ffdshow (http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=173941) might help (you will have to disable MPC's internal h264 decoder for this to work, though).

is the picture quality of CoreAVC in comparision to ffdshow better? or is coreavc only more efficient?

You could probably use CoreAVC with ffdshow, if you enable raw video input and disable h.264 decoding in ffdshow, set ffdshow as preferred, and set CoreAVC as preferred. I do something similar to decode MPEG2 with dscaler and process it with ffdshow.
