I apologize for the posting, if it has been posted earlier. Please redirect me. But I didn't find one similar thread.

I have been using DVD Shrink for quite some time. I have never faced a problem like this before. When I recoded a DVD 9 of size 7.82 GB I get the final image size about 4.45 GB which is 100MB more than a standard DVD5 of 4.38 GB.I have no extra thing to exclude from the original. I tried the other free tools like Nero Recode, DVD RB. But every time I found the same result. Is there any method to remove the 5.1 surround sound and make it plane stereo. I found that way I can trim it.

Also I want to know how much time DVD RB takes for converting a DVD9 to DVD5 on farely up to date machine. It took around 5 and half hours on my Lenovo R61(Core2 Duo1.8Ghz,1GB).

Help required. Thanks in advance.

Hi!

Simply load your 4.45Gb rip into DVD Shrink - and compress that file (or "package" of files)...
